Super Colon Cleanse | I Am Eating Right And Excersising, So How Come I’m Not Loosing Weight?
Right now I’m 13 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and I weigh 145 lbs. I want to loose weight to be 120-125, as soon as possible without becoming anorexic or anything like that. I have tried like, colon cleanse and acai berry stuff but none of them seem to work. I am eating lots of fruits and vegetables, and excersising in all the spare time I have. I am hard working, and I havent watched TV in months. I also drink a lot and drink green tea every night.I think about trying to loose weight pretty much 24/7. Now that I think about it, my horrible self image has taken control over all of my thoughts. I call my self “the chunk” all the time. I am muscular, though. Ive beeten high school boys in arm wrestling contests and my sister calls me “The manly chick” All of my friends are super slim, so I dont want themcall me “the fat one” or anything. I don’t like my body. I cry a lot. To make myself feel better I excersise more, but then that reminds me of all the fat I have to loose. I havent gone to a doctor to get my yearly physical in years, because I am afraid of stepping on a scale in front of them and then them giving me a whole lecture about “you need to loose weight” blah blah blah.If anyone out there reading this can help me, anything would be greatly appreciated. Oh, yea, Im 13 so I cant like spend money because my mom doesnt drive me to stores and Im too young to have a credit card. My mom doesnt want anything put on her credit card. Thanks!
If you’re thinking about trying to lose weight “pretty much 24/7,” then you’re on your way to an eating disorder. It’s unhealthy. If you’re afraid your friends are going to call you “the fat one,” then maybe you need new friends. You don’t deserve that kind of treatment, no matter what size you are.As long as you’re eating healthy and exercising (which you are) then you’re fine. Your weight doesn’t actually reflect on your overall health (most of the time). The numbers people REALLY need to worry about are blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugars, etc. Those are the numbers that really matter. If those are all normal, you exercise, eat well, then you’re set. (I’m 255 lbs, and my blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. is all normal. I’m borderline vegetarian, I despise McDonald’s, I exercise almost every day, I have almost no health problems, and I feel great.)Now, if you were, say, 400+ pounds, then it’s a different story. But since you’re only 145 lbs., and you said yourself, you’re very muscle-y (and muscle is denser than fat, so most of your weight is actually muscle, not “flab”), by what you’ve described, you’re actually VERY healthy! Now, on a different note… who says that “fat” is an insult? It’s like saying “does this dress make me look tall.” Kind of ridiculous. If being skinny was so great, then thin people would NEVER get sick. I’m 255 lbs, and you know what? I am DAMN sexy. Take THAT Jenny Craig.
Muscle weighs more then fat, you said that you were muscular? Well thats a lot of your weight. Your 13, of course you hate your body. I don’t think I know a 13 year old that doesn’t. The only thing you can do is eat right and exersice. In fact, its a good think to not stress out about what the scale says all the time. All you have to do is eat right, and exersice. Eat only when your hungry, and pick healthy things over unhealthy.
I’m 16 years old, and over the past year I’ve lost 87lbs
I didn’t think about losing weight. I focused on the feeling. After one week of running everday in the morning i realized that i didn’t feel as tired throughout the day. Instead of eating candy or cookies, I ate fresh fruits and I refused to eat anything that comes in a wrapper. It worked and I lost tons of weight because i stuck to it. I didn’t even know how much I had lost for a while because I didn’t step on the scale for months at a time.
(P.S. Why would you “friends” call you the fat one? They are your friends ya know? If they call you the fat one…then get new friends.)
Because you’re 13 years old and muscular. People come in all shapes and sizes.
You’re lying about your diet. You’re not eating properly. Just because you eat a lot of fruits doesn’t mean you can still eat candy.
You lose weight by having a negative caloric intake. A banana has about 100 calories. If you eat 20 of them in a day, you’re going to gain weight.
Someone your age and size burn about 1400 calories a day. You need to eat no more than 1400 calories a day, and then exercise at least 5 hours a week to lose weight. It’s the only way your body will do it.
And lol@a 13 year old using colon cleanse.
Don’t waste any more money on those weight loss scams!!!
A lot of your weight could be muscle because it does weigh more than fat. You are 13 and still growing, so I would not go overboard with weight loss. It is more important to be healthy and fit. Not skinny and unhealthy. Stick with healthy food choices and get in some physical activity each day. Don’t eat late at night. And eat healthy carbs….whole wheat pastas and breads. Brown rice. Here is a trick….make sure half of your dinner plate is nothing but veggies. They fill you up quickly. And water. Drink at least 64 ounces of water. Don’t drink soda and watch your sodium intake.
You made me lol when I read bout “the fat one”
You eat lots of fruits and vegies, thats great. What else do you eat? what do you call eating right?
Excersising in the spare time, thats great. What type of excersise and for how long?
Fiber is the magic answer. Your body has to work harder to digest it and it boosts your metabolism. Apples, beans, whole grains, spinach, broccoli, grapefruit. By eating right you can train your metabolism to do most of the work, but keep up the exercise as well.
Don’t stress too much. Muscle weighs more than fat. And stress can lead to weight gain. Besides, your only 13, don’t forget to enjoy life.
Try to eat just veggies for awile, and don’t snack, and keep exersising. it takes time. the worst thing u can do is not to eat because when u stop dieting u will get more big.
